Insight: Change Travellers' Frustations with Technology

With the vast development of mobile applications, more travelers prefer to stay connected when they're travelling. The top six travelers' expectations are:

1. Intelligent Recommendations - 86 percent desire a personalized travel guide which aggregates recommendations.

2. Intelligent tickets and mHealth - 82 percent desire application that can automatically updated delays or change and monitor their health. 

3. Augmented Reality - 61 percent desire mobile applications that can overlay visual informations of physical locations. 

4. Cloud Computing - 59 percent business travelers desire complete access to everything that they can get at home. 

5. Automated Identity - 53 percent happy to provide more personal information for efficient travel. 

6. Payment with Memory - 47 percent willingly to provide personal data for more personalized service. 

Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia has been targeted that 20 million international tourists will come to Indonesia in 2020. Being tech-savvy in promoting Indonesia must be implemented. (***)
